Need some help with my own rear drum brakes, looking to convert to rear disk, as the Gpz of the same year81-82 offered a rear disk brake, the question is what rear wheel will allow a little wider tire? OEM is the enkei 18xMT2.15

I would think it is all doable but at what cost and how much of your time? Finding a way to mount a master cylinder and reservoir and tie it in to your brake pedal will be a challenge in itself. You may wish to consider trading yours in on a model with a rear disk.

What do you mean by that? Most of the stopping power is with the Fr brake. I have a Rr drum & it works fine. I installed new brake shoes. The drum was glazed, so I sanded it very carefully & evenly with 100 grit, and was careful not to contaminate the wheel bearings or anything. minimized the dust as much as possible & did not breathe the dust.
