Hey so I have 1982 Kawasaki kz550 ltd it has new batteries and spark plugs carbs are all cleaned. It will crank but will not start any suggestions on anything else I can do

The bike needs air, fuel, spark and compression in order to run.

Air cleaner is easiest to check. Sometimes mice can get inside and build a nest that blocks air, or the air filter may be totally clogged.

Check spark by removing all plugs and lay them on the cylinder head while you crank and look at each plug for a good strong spark.

Also, fresh fuel would be good. Be sure to prime the carburetors. Before removing the spark plugs, try starting it, then remove the plugs & check for the odor of gasoline. no fuel, no start.

Battery: be sure to keep the battery charged using a good motorcycle smart charger.
