The 87 600r for its day was top dog with the Honda Hurricane (white/Red) The Hurricane was much lighter and felt like a toy under you, but the Ninja's motor pulled all the way through the revs. The bike as I remember it did not weigh 500 pounds though as the Ninja 900 did! I believe it was 440 dry...It's been a long time so don't quote me on the weight. I think it was in the 87 model year they made a special with an all aluminum frame - all black with red pinstripe that was lighter.
