Towards the front of the bike on the metal around the sight glass, there are two lines that are the safe range. Full the glass will be almost submerged except for may 2mm at the top. The capacity is just about 2 quarts.
My KLF 220 has run many, many, trouble-free hours using 30 weight SL rated Motor Oil. This is in a warm climate..Yup, a little over 2 quarts with a filter change..There are 2 clutches..The wet-plate clutch that is operated by the shift lever and the steel centrifugal clutch..THAT's the one you don't want to abuse...Be SURE the machine is in FIRST gear before to start from a dead stop. Kids tend to take off in ANY gear, but only for a while..
