Usually that means your battery is dead, or needs to be charged. You should check your charging system by charging your battery with a 2 amp charger till it reads 13.8 volts. If it never gets that high, but close to it, try starting the bike, in Neutral, then check the power across the battery, it should now be reading approx. 13.8 volts, if it reads the same, your have a charging problem, if it reads almost 13.8 volts, you need a new battery, before you charge the battery, if it is fluid filled, make sure it is filled with distilled water to the level lines on the battery or it won't be able to hold a charge.. Sometimes there is a plastic cap that covers the plastic hole pins (one per cell), in case you don't se any place to put the distilled water in. If it is a sealed battery, all you can do is try and charge it.

There are many other things that could be wrong, but this is where you start. Get the Factory Service Manual" so you can learn how to fix your bike, and can ask more poignant questions. It makes it easier to help when you have more than the "Owner's Manual". :)
