Past year or so I have noticed that when I put the machine in gear (H/L or R) I experience what I would call the tranny slipping. Would I be correct to assume that the belt is most likely getting worn in in need or replacement?

If so, how much of a job is it? If not, any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

The symptoms sound like the belt is getting a bit worn. Zip over to Kaw's site and use their parts diagrams to look at the drive converter and the drive converter cover to get an idea of how easy it is to change the belt. Not at all difficult, just take your time.

While you are in there you will want to check your drive and driven converters for wear. They are also inexpensive to repair if it is needed.

It is always a good idea to have a repair manual handy, and they are not that expensive in the grand scheme of things.
