Does anyone know the difference between ...say a 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002 KX 250 carb? I know they all have different part #'s and the bike I just bought has a Lectron carburetor on it and I would like to go back to stock. I have been looking on e bay and have seen a few 2000's and a 2002 but didn't bid because of the different part numbers. Thanks for the help.

They probably have different numbers because of different jetting setups. If it is the same carb(I believe they are Keihin 38mm, but dont remember the model), you can use it, and just change the jetting to suit your needs.

they did change the plug for the power jet and throttle position sensor to one plug, but I don't remember what year that was. I would have to agree with YurFatMom that they would be interchangeable, I buy the 250 carbs and use them on 500's, the only difference is the jetting.
