My neighbor has a 1702 mile, one owner and is going to sell it. She does not ride it and has not since about 5-6 years ago and needs money ( I am told by a busy-body neighbor ). I was going to make her a cash offer to help her out financially but have no idea what it is worth. I looked on Kelley Blue Book and I think it said around $3000-3400 but I am not sure which model it is and I just don't know what is fair. Any ideas? Is that a good model of motorcycle? I don't need it but if I can help her and maybe re-sell it ............Ideas? Thanks.

V-Star could be a 650 or 1100. I would figure on no more than Trade in Value considering the time of year. You'll need to allow on a few hundred (tires, battery, carb work, maintenance) to make it road worthy.
