For sale: my beloved Kawasaki Vulcan 1600 near Drexel. Low mileage, with a Corbin seat, new windshield and new tires.
Startup and idle video here:
Fuel injection + shaft drive + recent fluid changes + battery replacement + new Shinko 777 tires + Japanese manufacturer = ready to crank out thousands of miles. Includes the comfortable Corbin seat (over $500 retail).
Title: clean Pennsylvania title, in hand, in my name. No surprises, not floated. VIN is JKBVNKA143A001280.
Delivery: If there is an Amtrak train, I'm willing to deliver within 75 miles of Philadelphia for an additional fee.
Tires: new Shinko 777 tires. Less than 200 miles on them.
Engine: great torque. Starts right up, and never failed to start. Fuel injected, Japanese reliability. Enough said. New sparks and oil change in October.
Transmission: 5 speed, shifts crisply. Stays in second gear, NO hopping out. Shaft drive = virtually no maintenance. Final drive oil also changed in October (the next final drive is called for in more than 10,000 miles!).
Clutch: engages with authority, no slipping, no chudder.
Electrical: Right rear signal was hit in a parking lot recently. I plan to replace that. Otherwise fine.
Brake pads: good, 1/8th inch material remaining. Note that the rear has a disc, not a drum.
Cosmetics: New windshield. Bike lived most of its life in a garage. While it's not a museum piece, cosmetics are great.
History: I bought it from the original owner two years ago, just below 12k miles. It is just under 16k now (still going up roughly each day). I put about 4000 miles on it, including a recent 500+ mile trip to Potter County, PA.
Why selling: I'm an EMT, and a back injury at work has me moving to a more "neutral" stance bike.
