Same year and model as mine.hey guys, just testing the waters here... not sure if im going to sell yet (possibly switch to a 4stroke). Its a MINT 2005 kx250, has protaper black anadized triple clamps and tag bars with tag grips and a brand new top end thats not even broken in yet, I did the 10 and 20 min. rides but still needs the 30min one to finish break-in. The bike has 20 hours tops and I ran amsoil dominator in it and amsoil synthetic tranny oil (changed every 3 rides). Wasn't raced, mostly trail ridden (been to the track a couple times to ride around). Its in New York on long island in northport, 4k cash gets it. Do yourself a favour and keep it...them 4 stroke pure dirt bikes are junk.
Curious what happened that you had to rebuild the top end at just 20 hours?
Maybe borrow a pals four stroker for a few hours of riding, and then decide.
Also they constantly need valves set, and top end overhauls are frequent items and very expensive and time consuming compared to a 2 stroke.
But mostly they are gutless wonders.
I race mine and i can beat all the 450's no problem.
