I was looking at the Kawasaki site for the 2005 models and was quite suprised to see that the venerable 1500 classic will still be offered in '05. It was my understanding that '04 would be its last year. I guess its still a big seller. Anyway, the color has changed and the price increased from what is was in '04.

Just re-reading parts of the most recent Motorcycle Cruiser mag (Dec '04), page 16. The article is on the 1600 Nomad but a little item in the last paragraph says

"The only 1500cc Vulcan remaining in Kawasaki's '05 line is the carbureted Vulcan 1500, whis has been positioned as a budget big twin."

Now, this might be why Kawasaki.com has the compression at 8:6:1, maybe????

Don't know about what a 3rd party mag says, but on Kawasaki's website they say it's fuel injected. "Beginning with its V-twin engine, the 1500 Classic produces incredible low-rpm torque that’s perfect for city streets or open highways. This fuel injected, liquid cooled, SOHC design displaces 90 cubic inches and shines with elegantly sculpted cylinders and polished cooling fins, while the large radiators are tucked from view between the frame downtubes.
