I just bought a new zx6r as of yesterday. The dealer didn't have any frame sliders or fender eliminators that fit my bike, cause its so new. Does anyone know of a place online or something that will have what i need, or must i just be patient til parts come out for my bike? thanks!

Same problem, the dealer had no sliders or rear stand adapters yet.

there's a few of these out already... both eliminators and sliders. many more coming too as days go by. Here's a few links to get you going....

eliminators:
http://www.fendereliminators.net/
http://www.competitionwerkes.com/

sliders:
http://www.rg-racing.com/sports-bike-protectors/kawasaki-crash-protectors/kawasaki-zx6r-05.html
http://www.moto911.com/catalog/prod...d=628&osCsid=18a885e50c3fa3ca313858f105c01ed3

that last link has the shogun sliders, same as posted above by Green Knight. If you can buy from ebay, try that if you want these sliders. last auction sold for $40 for those sliders. see here.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...&tc=photo&rd=1&item=4526906812&category=34284

It kills me that I will have to cut on my left fender to put on the frame slider :?

I guess a little cut there can save a whole fairing down the road if the situation occurs though...

My son just bought a 2005 ZX6R. It's too cold in North Dakota to ride right now. How do you like the bike? How's the powerband? (What rpm does it really come on strong?)
Coming from a 500 to a 636 was a huge jump for me, so all my experience with this machine has been beyond words. I've yet to really run it up, I'm trying to be a good owner and follow the whole break in period thing. I will say that the front wheel has found itself in the air several times just from blipping the throttle. Didn't think it would do it, now I know it will, and now I won't try that again

Thanks for the reply. My son took a big jump, too. He went from a 750 Honda Shadow to the ZX6R. He'll be ok. He's a responsible kid. He's ridden my ZX12-R several times, so he does have some experience on a sportbike.

I have the fender eliminator kit and the shogun frame slider along with the flush front signals from fendereliminator.com as well. I have been looking for other things to do so if anyone has suggestions please post. Any sites with parts or accessories for the 05 636 would be appreciated Thank you...

btw. The fender kit looks great I have not installed the frame sliders or front signals yet but soon very soon...

shoot, ill say! i would never think of having my zx6 as my first bike. In fact it's my second and it's insane. I was going to get the zx10 but financing became a problem so i went with the 636. It's all in the mind though and I agree that the break in period is a godsend. Not for me though after about 2 days. Then it was like a curse.
