My 07 Vulcan 500 will randomly lose power while going down the road as if it’s only firing on one cylinder. The bike starts and runs great with no hard idle and goes down the road smooth otherwise. Im sure the loss of power is due to one of the cylinders not firing, I just don’t know the cause. I know it could be any number of issues (spark plugs, coil packs, carburetor, vacuum lines, pet **** issues, etc), it’s just narrowing it down is the issue. It wasn’t doing this much before, but it has gotten to become a rather frequent issue. The last time it did this, I touched both of the header pipes to see if there was a temperature difference between them and I found that the left one was significantly hotter than the right, so that led me to believe it was firing only on the left. Another observation is that the left pipe has much more carbon (black buildup) in it compared to the left one which still is for the most part shiny on the inside. I’m not sure if this would be part of the issue, but I also replaced the old air filter with a K and N as the old one was pretty dirty and needed replaced. If anybody has some intel on what the cause could be for this issue, please let me in on it because I’m certainly not a professional lol.

Keep going night returning from work at 3:00am my bicycle out of nowhere passed on while running down the parkway at 70mph ( per the spedo, genuine speed of 62mph per radar)(don't ask how I know this) behaved like it ran running on empty. Tank is 3/4 full or better, climate conditions where, light haze, weighty dew, 68 degrees. Would not fire back up immediately. Got it's anything but a 1/after 2 hour sitting close by the street, needed to utilize full stifle, no choke. Once started up, mess with choke to keep it running for 1/2 mile on full gag befor having the option to scale back to 1/2 stifle for another mile befor it would run with no gag.
