Wow, what a beautiful day we had in the Mid South today. Left home about 12 and went to Reelfoot Lake in W TN, legend has it that an earthquake in the the early 1800's made the Mississippi River flow backwards for a period and formed this beautiful, shallow, large lake. The bald eagles like it there and it is a great place for fishing, bird watching, etc. Anyway, it was my destination today.

Had the opportunity to try out the new Mustang seat and backrest, makes a huge difference. Now I need my highway pegs, lowers, and throttle lock. Alway something! Red Lodge? Could happen for this guy 1700 miles away!

Way to go Bob! I'm Glad for ya! Sounds like you had a good time. It was a beautiful day here in North Alabama too, but I had too many chores that HAD to be done today. Couldn't get out there and ride, dang it! I did manage about 20 miles yesterday afternoon though. Used the bike to run and pick up some bolts at Lowes. Wasn't much, but better than nothing! :-D

You lucky devil! Glad you had a good day. Too cold and windy to ride here today.

Hope you make it to Red Lodge. That'd be great!

It was also a good day for riding down here in LA (lower Alabama) with sunny skies and temps in the fifties. Six of us left the Eastern Shore about 10AM and rode over the causeway to Mobile, then south to Dauphin Island where we ate lunch at Barnacle Bill's Seafood restaurant. Riding over the mile long high-rise bridge at 70 miles per hour was a hoot with the strong Gulf breeze blowing hard from the Southeast. We took the ferry from Dauphin Island across the mouth of Mobile Bay to the Fort Morgan peninsular, then finished the 114 mile loop home after a cup of Beans-for-brew coffee in Foley. The Ferry ride was the treat of the day, six bucks to cross the 7 mile stretch, you simply ride up the ramp, put the bike on it's stand, and enjoy all of the bay's activities for about thirty five minutes. There were three Suzukis, one Harley, one Honda, and my big Nomad. We kidded each other about which bike is the best/worst, etc., but all in good fun. As they used to say in the old beer commercial, "it doesn't get any better than this"!

I'm just DYIN' to ride. It's been warm enough around here but the roads are so wet and still have a lot of cinders on them from ice storms.
Congrats!

Hi Bob. I just got back yesterday from a trip to Galveston. Seven bikers took a 3 day trip just for the ride. No bikini's on the beach but the weather was great, a few sunburns on exposed body parts for those who didn't put on sun screen. We did about 900 miles, round trip. Great ride, great weather, no rain, and light traffic on the 2 lanes we rode. Definitely different roads than we had up in the Ozarks last year.

LOL...my wife and I were pulling handles on slot machines one weekend and I ran out of my alloted $$$ so I was watching her. She had about $170.00 credit on her machine. She wanted to win the jackpot which was $75,000 cash and a Harly Davidson motorcycle. She got a little nervous and asked me what she should do...stop now and go home with $170.00 or keep playing for the jackpot? I jokingly said...well you want the money and I'll take the bike...so she played and lost all her money. :)
