Mule 3010 idling on one cylinder:

Hey guys I have a question, I bought a mule 3010 a while ago that has trouble idling, basically only idling on the rear cylinder. The front cylinder definitely has spark and I’ve tried a couple different brand new spark plugs. Here’s what else I’ve tried:

  • rebuilding the motor with new pistons and seals
  • adjusting valve clearance
  • brand new oem carb
  • brand new oem igniter
  • new fuel pump relay
  • new cheap fuel pump (fuel pressure reads low even though I can see fuel at the carb, this is the next thing to try)
  • new amazon ignition coil
  • probably some other things I’m forgetting

I’m running out of ideas. Anyone know anything else that could be wrong? Thanks

Wife's 2 cyl golf cart would intermittently run great, then barely run at all. Did fuel filter, hoses, replaced fuel, cleaned carb (twice), replaced igniter (twice; 1st replacement was bad), coil...Somebody on the cart forum suggested checking compression, which I knew was ok, but checked anyway (both cyls good). When I started to replace the plugs, I noticed a crack down each side of the ceramic on one of the plugs....
$5 later, it was running great. (Please don't tell anyone about my troubleshooting expertise.)
