I have a 2002 650 AB1 ATV and I bought it with a bad engine and disassembled. I have the factory manual. The problem is each spark plug will fire one time and quit, I put a spark plug in the spark plug cap and observed the spark. I've checked the wiring and voltage, replaced the ignitor box and still no help. The pickup coil has the correct ohms 118 at the ignitor box. When I check the coil voltage I do not get the 3.6 volts on starter cranking. I get .02 volts the same as on my running 2003 650 AB2? Does the peak voltage adapter tester make a difference in voltage? I thought it was just a test harness.
Why does the spark only fire one time? The cylinders fired on the one spark
