Just want to start off and say hello to everyone, picked up my first bike last night. It was actually free, guy was too old to care.

The fenders, fairing, etc are all too damaged to use. Headlight was actually just hanging by a zip-tie, and the ignition needs replaced.

But before I even begin finding replacement fenders and such I was wondering what would really need to be done to change the bike to a naked look. Obviously leaves fenders off, lol, but I'm more curious about the lights, turn signals, and gauges since the fairing is gone.

Thanks

Basically, when you make a fully faired bike into a naked, you're in uncharted territory. There aren't any books on 'how to make a naked' that I know of. Take the fairings off, and look the bike over. Then visit your local scrapyard and find stuff you like. Fab up brackets, and viola! Naked bike!

Before you start all that though, I'd get the bike running and tuned so you don't go to a lot of effort just to have a non-running naked bike. ;)
