hello, im new to the forum. just recently aquired a 91 ninja 600 (C) version. it was sittin in front of my frens houz for awhile. i made an offer and it was mine.i recently cleaned the carbs. it runs a lot better but a little rough. when i roll the throttle slowly its alright, but when i roll quickly,it almost dies, or hesitates, stutters, until the engine kicks in, or else it dies. any ideas. when ridin its kinda of slow up to 4rpm, but after that it pulls good. thanks for any input.

There are often similar problems with certain sport quads. It is sometimes due to a too small pilot jet.Since the pilot jets operate at idle to 1/4 throttle, you may want to try one size larger pilots before doing any major work and see if the problem goes away.
Any Kawi dealer can tell you what the OEM size is via his microfisch. I think I would first pull the pilot jet and read the number on it to make sure it is actually the OEM size, especially if you bought the bike used. Then you could buy the next size larger. Don't forget to get a new valve seat also.
The valve seat is the part that the float valve sits in when the float tang closes the valve. Closing the valve shuts off the gas when the float reaches the optimum level. Most people recommend replacing both the valve & the seat at the same time. They shouldn't be more that a couple dollars altogether.
