I've just bought a 1996 1500 classic and have a couple of questions, When cornering at 90kmh I can feel and hear a little bit of a howl possibly from the front end I'm thinking that it may be a front wheel bearing can anyone tell me how I can diagnose this problem, I can borrow my buddies lift to get the front end off the ground but then I'm not sure what my next step would be. The bike has 32,00kms on it
Also the bike has aftermarket pipes on it I think they may be cobras but am not sure I'm planning on getting a washable air filter does anyone have any experience with UNI Air filters? Their web site says they are better than K&Ns any info is appreciated .
Thanks

re

check the seals on the front axle and see if any grease trails are running from them
also check the tires for cupping or uneven wear-also make sure its coming from the front.
sometimes what seems up front is really coming from the back

front bearings?

I notice some black grease on the speedo drive side but thought that may be from lubing the speedo cable
