Well I loaded the bikes up to put them into cold storage for the winter... hooked them up like I always do... get to the place I'm keeping them.. take the straps and towels off and look down. to my horror, the right side fairing SHATTERED and the front upper fairing also broke. NOT a good day. Insurance is going to take care of this one, claim filed, will talk to the adjuster on monday. still sucks!

Yep, that does suck. I have had that happen with my ATV's and dirtbikes before. Last year a rock hit my front fender(0*F) on my KX and it shattered like glass into my face. It was a good think I was wearing my helmet and goggles. Good thing the insurance is covering your fairings, they are expensive!

Most plastic will do this when it's cold. I have a 5th wheel camper that is closed in on the bottom with thick plastic sheeting. I have read on a forum about this shattering on people while pulling in extreme cold. good thig for insurance, but it's still a pain.

Vette's shatter nicely at low temps too! Glad you are able to get it fixed.
