Hi guys! I just found the forum. Sounds good and it seems to have a few ''oldies'' bikes owner...

I have an '81 KZ1000J and an '81 GPz1100 as a parts bike. The GPz had an oil cooler and I'd like to put it on my KZ. So I'm wondering what are the parts that have to be swapped when adding the oil cooler. I make the most part of the work on my bike but I never did open the engine yet. I removed the head/cam and stuff on the 110, but I never opened the case, so I don't know what it looks like inthere. Would adding the oil cooler be a hard work or a breeze?

Thanks

Yan

To the best of my knowledge all you have to swap is the oil pan and cooler. Should be a lot easier than plumbing the cooler into your present pan.

I looked on the Kawasaki site where we can get all parts diagrams and there seems to be small differences. I'll take a look at my shop manual and see how I can reach the ''inner'' part of the oil system.
