Tomorrow 14/3/10 - 15000 bikers are going to ride into Wootton Bassett,Wiltshire ,UK to thank the people of WB in attending the repatriation of our fallen troops that are brought back from Afghanistan as they go onward to there final destinations.
This event started off as a few friends who were thinking of doing the ride but it was placed on Facebook and within a couple of weeks with so many bikers willing to attend the numbers have swelled to 15000.
To attend this ride you were required to register and the final registration was closed one week early.
It starts at a airbase 18 miles away at 11am and the last rider is expected to go through the village of Wootton Bassett about 6pm.
Because of the shear numbers the organizers and the police say it would be impossible for riders to start the ride on mass so they will be leaving the airbase in blocks of 500 every 30 mins to avoid disruption to other traffic
There are peeps coming from all over UK,this is also being covered by UK news and Sky and i think CNN.
The weather is going to be dry (hooray) for once so should be a good turn out.Bikers who arrive will pay a donation of £5 or $12 aprox towards the charity.
The donations which should be at least £30000 will go to support our UK troops in Afghanistan via the charity Afghan Heroes!
