I almost dropped my bike last night. Had a few friends over last night. I was out in the garage sitting on it for a while and when I got off, I forgot that I put the kickstand up. Talk about a lean over. One more beer and it would have been all over. I would have been so ****ed. I didn't even ride it since the new paint job. Moral to this story is dont drink and ride or sit.

Whoa Moto! Easy on the brewskies! More proof that motorcycles and alchohol are a lethal mix................Just ragging you a bit. Watch out for those buggy-fuel emissions while riding in Amish country!

That's the one thing that bugs me about the V2K. Darm kickstand is so low that you don't realise it's not down till the bikes almost on it's side. They fixed that on the 2005 model so T-man should have no probs. As for me, I'm noticing bigger muscles on my left side. Heave!

I almost did the same thing. I worked a 12 hour night shift and came home. started to get off to open the garage door and noticed the bike was not stopping at the kickstand. Fortunatly it was my 800 and I was able to stop it just before it hit the hard bags. Its a wonder I didn't get a hernia.

Moto,
At least it was an almost! I think everyone has had a close call when it comes to making sure the kickstand is down and the bike is leaning in the correct direction.

NO Way, No beer abuse. It is illegal in PA. ;-)
Ok, glad you didn't defy the law and abuse that necter of the gods but...if the choice came between being a law breaker and spillin the suds or dropping your freshly painted rig..I hope you'd know what decision to take...:)
