Hello!,
I have a zx750p and I am changing out the generator for a different one and can’t find any videos on how to. Is it “as simple as” just removing 3 bolts and disconnecting a harness?

The Alternator is described as fitting a 1999 ZX9R, Well a 99 bike is a ZX9R C2 which does not use this type of generator, It uses a Stator/Rotor set up.
So i conclude that the seller is in error with his description..:icon_frow

I have Pasted the two pics of the Alternator, But am unable to read the full part number which clearly starts 21001 And i think i can see a 5 on the end, Well the one you want is 21001-1115 so i may be worth messaging him and see if he can read the rest of the part number you may be lucky :)

What happened to the fix you had planned for your old one ???
wEll that option is still aviable i was supposed to make rewire (i dont know if i can say that) i was going to Rewire the stator, it would cost me 45 box.. but when i oppened the alternatod i found not only the stator was bad.. according to my mechanic something must be worng ith the little regulator inside and we dont know how is the recitifier so i decided try to get the entire thing .. the other option is to rewire the stator and put a ford regulator, but im not sure bout that.. what do you think?..

If u let me i can post u pictures of my alternator and the pieces i talk you about so u can give me a better suggestion?

By the sound of the problems with your Alternator i would not bother repairing it.........To expensive.

Go for a second hand one ....:p

Yep ridden a few J Models, Nice handling for an older model with a bit more weight than later bikes which in my opinion keeps them better planted on the road esp Hooning round corners
