i see lots of people runnig ATF type F in their gear box .
do you have to run type F and why type F
there are other blends of ATF will these work.
I know you cant mix diferent types of ATF.

Yes, Type F all the way. The other type's have either less or more of the additives that hinder the clutch packs. Type F is your best friend and the clutches best friend.:biggrin:

im going for it this weekend in my 93 KX
i just changed the filter,plug,gased her up
and tommorrow is supposed to be in the 50s
and raining-YEE-HAAAA
gonna git dirty with the kids

Atf

:shock: Bummer . We still have a bunch of snow up here in Canada.
I always run 10-40 in my kx 250 and same in my son's ktm 65 and cr85 , with no problems . Was just thinking of trying ATF . Try make my kx shift a little better.
Have fun with the kids.

we still have a wee bit of snow on the ground but im figuring
with the rain i ll be good ta go, i ll put my lil ones on the quads
and i ll be the 2 wheel maniac

Type F ONLY. the newer Dexron / mercon have too many detergents in them and will ruin your clutches.
