Anyone out there using a Baron Big Air Kit on a 1600 Classic? I'm looking for any recommendation or advice you might have.

Not sure why- but I haven't seen many BAK's on Kaws. There is quite a few of us with Thunder kits in here, several with hyperchargers, and even a couple with the do-it-yourself intakes known as the caddyman kit.

I just replaced a hypercharger on my 1600 Mean Streak for a BAK.
Much happier now at least I can place my knee against the tank.
Seems like there is more response and power but could be the induction noise.

My Classic is stock so far. If I were to go with a BAK or Thunder what can I expect? Will I need a Power Commander or something with just that type of change?

someone else will correct me if i am wrong, but this is what i assume to be true. you can change the filter without putting in a programmer, but if you change the filter housing, essentially changing the intake, then you will need to reprogram the injection. you will definitely notice a difference if you did change it over.

re

just a element change won't add anything-but removing the stock intake
and smog junk will-and yes you'll have re-map the bike if you do that
