Needle jet? Do you mean the actual main jet needle that is under the big center slide, or the float valve, or the pilot air screw, or the idle adjustment screw?

the jet that sits inside the carb venturi and the needle slides into it doesnt fit tight at all, im thinking it causing it to not be a steady flow or taking on too much air.. im just not sure how its supposed to fit never worked on this particular carb

The main jet needle will fit somewhat loosely, but not sloppy. Take a look at the parts diagrams on Kawasaki.com and make sure you have all three of the main jet parts, plus the gasket.

Sometimes the top main jet, which is the needle jet 0-o, is misplaced. Then the main jet needle no longer has a guide to drop through.
