Had a slipping clutch this summer on my 300. Have recently replaced everything, Primary and secondary with genuine Kawi parts.
She now pulls like train but still has one issue which I thought was also going to be cured by the clutch replacement. Under slow speed load, for instance, full steering lock, just slowly increasing the throttle to get under way the transmission knocks and slips. Almost sounds like soming is jumping in the transmission. If you increase the throttle all’s good and away she goes. If you allow the knocking to continue by keeping the speed slow and keeping it under load it will knock until she stalls the engine. Gear change and selection is all good.

Link to vid to give a better idea of what’s happening here:

Previous owner did a fair bit of towing and it’s done 10000 Miles.
Anyone seen anything like this before?

Seems like I've heard of a bulletin that addressed this, about 20 some years ago. I think they recommended replacing the voltage regulator. Regulator on the 300's affects the ignition timing which causes a knock at low speeds.
