Tried to open the rear seat of my Kawasaki ninja 650r.
It bent my key. It will still go into the ignition, but it won't actually turn in the cylinder and I don't want to force it. Can I make an extra key using the one that's bent? Or am I screwed and have to replace both cylinders? Any advice or previous experience would be helpful.

Take your key to a key shop, they can make a new one out of your old one.

it helps if you can go to an actual locksmith. on my old gs500 my only key became bent and actually cracked but he was able to make a copy that worked great.

I did the same thing (bent my key), and i also had dealer make me a copy of my key but my copy won't open my gas tank... it works mint on my ignition and my underseat lock, but it wont work at all for my tank.Then i contact to Locksmith who work in Tamarac area and they come to me and made me a new key at less price than dealer.
