I am thinking of putting the Akra EVO in CF on my 10R...However, before I do that, I will do my suspension first. Doing suspension and the exhaust are close in price and after having a bike that was decked out suspension wise, I will always do it before exhaust which I would do last. Suspension will make you faster before the exhaust will.Just curious what the loudest exhaust for zx-10r would be. I see that Akropovic has a line out that puts out about 107dB. . .
I know what you mean man, you're one of the few to admit it! I must say I am borderline with my LeoVince... especially riding in town, tunnels, or next to cliff-faces in the canyons. It's just ridiculously loud. In fact when I am riding through small towns I will always ride one or 2 gears higher than I need just to keep the db down in case the cops are around...I... am not keen on my bike being too loud that it is annoying.
It is really loud that is one thing. Go to zx-10r.net and do a search.I just got the bike and haven't had a chance to take any pics yet. I used to race snowmobiles so I'm looking for something that makes your ears tingle when you ride it. Anybody know anything about Boz Bros Moira?
Sup Billy, long time no see man...anything D&D is super loud...
Tim you think that thing can be ceramic coated black? I ceramic coated my headers on my old 636 and if I get a GP style exhaust I wonder if I ceramic coat the exhaust if it can handle the heat. Ceramic coating can handle over 1500 degrees so I guess it could. What is the material on that exhaust and how light is it?I just installed a low exit, right side Roaring Toyz exhaust on my 07 ZX10R and it sounds good. It is advertised at 115 dbA. Using the baffles redusces the sound level 3-5 db. You can refer to this thread http://www.kawasakimotorcycle.org/f...ikes-sportbikes/60118-zx10r-exhaust-pics.html
I can provide you with contact info if you are interested. Price is just under $550 including shipping. A power commander is recommended for best performance. I will eventually put one on, but for now, it ran fine on my initial trial run. It was 35 degrees so it was a short run.

I hate black but I might as well black and silver this bike out. That can is sick for sure.
Erv why would you want to coat it? With the bottom fairing on you'd only have a small piece "sticking out" and I think the chrome looks mad bling...
y'all

The more I see it, the more I like that exhaust. The PC III is something I did not want to get though...So in the end I guess I still will be spending a lot of money. Let me know if that effects you gas mileage if it does at all.Hey Erv,
The exhaust is polished stainless steel, shipping weight was 5.2 pounds so it is pretty light. I would bet you could coat it, I had ceramic coated headers on a pro street car I built and it can handle some serious heat. Here is a link to the ZX10R 06-07 page. Check out all the bling they have for our bikes. I am going to post a sound clip tonight, so stay tuned.

I'd rather speed past a cop having my stock exhaust on than announce my coming half a mile away so he can be ready for me.I like the way it looks but am not keen on my bike being too loud that it is annoying.
