I painted the front blinker buckets as well as the little chrome mounting plate on each one. I also installed 'Smoke' Clear Alternatives lenses in them. I did not install LEDs in the blinker buckets, they are still incandescent.

I also took a couple of videos of them so you could see how visible they are
(or are not) in the daylight as well as night.

I know what my next weekend project is! My load equalizer has the wireing for the front turn signals I just have not ran them yet. So I figure this weekend when I do, I might as well paint the buckets. I did go ahead and order the L.E.D. bulbs for the front when I got the lens covers from Clear Alternatives. Anyway, not trying to be a copy cat, you just have the good ideas before I do.

I painted the screw heads too. If you dont I think they stand out too much.

I did the same with the lens. I love the smoked look but painted the screws. I did the same with the tailight. I was worried it might be too dark but it perfect!!

Yep I did, the same thing!

Laws and regs. mandate the colors for turn signals and tail lights. Good idea to check before making mods that can result in possibly pricey citations.

He's OK in ND. The lights are the colors required by law.
