Hey everyone,

I have a zx636 2006 model and I noticed after not riding it for around 2 months that the front brakes lost almost all of the pressure.
I got one of my mates that is a mechanic to bleed them for me and they where perfect until I stopped riding it again for only a few days.
Now everytime I bleed them it works fine except if I dont use them for two or more days. They stay good if I pump the brakes each morning and night though.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Any signs of leakage at the calipers or master cylinders? It may be time to dismantle and rebuild the masters and the calipers to insure that the brake mud in the calipers and masters hasnt built up.:wink:

There must be a way that air is getting into the system. So there is a leak in/out somewhere. If no leak, no problem. I would try putting pressure on the brakes and looking for fluid leaking. If you don't find a leak, look at your master cylinder.

Look in the master cylinder fluid reservoir and see if there are two small holes in the bottom. If they are plugged, a wooden toothpick will open them up.

Usually if you're leaking fluid, air gets into the system making braking "spongy".
