Hi folks. I'm new to this board but I figured I would dive right in. I used the search tool and didn't come back with the answer to my question so here goes.... I need new tires...badly. I just got 1993 Concours and I have been pricing new tires....ouch...and came across one that is slightly different in size and need to know if it will work or not. I undertand the basic principles involving tires so while I am new to motorcylce tires I am not new to tires in general. What I currently have is this...

110/80 R18 58V front

150/80 R16 71V Rear

and I have come across a good deal on a 110/90 R18 and while this changes the aspect ratio only about 1/2", it still changes it and I am needing to know how much if any it will be affected by the height change (1/4"). Any and all input will be appreciated. Thank you.

The best deal for your money on stock Connie tires will be the OEM Dunlop K700/K701s. They are good tires, though not great, and will last about 10k miles. You should be able to find them pretty cheap. Buy 120/70-18 and 150/80-16. The 120/70 front measures 111/78, so it will fit fine.

Search eBay for some Macadam 50s, or look up MotoRace.com and see if he has any. Buy these in 110/80 and 150/80.

Look for Dunlop D205s in 110/80 and 150/80. They will cost more than the OEM tires, but last 1k or 2k miles longer.

Avon Storm/Azaro tires make KILLER sporting tires, but usually last 6k miles. Buy a 110/80 front in these.

I THINK you can get Metzeler Lasertec tires in 110/80 and 150/80.

Bridgestone BT-45s are available in 110/80 and 150/80. These should be cheap.
