I don't know the specific markings on the KD100 carb, but mikuni should be right. If it's lean, then give it more fuel. Your carb is most likely a 19mm. Your standard set up should be:

Main jet: 77.5
Pilot jet: 17.5
Jet needle: 4EJ7
Jet needle: O-2 (probably)
Valve throttle cut away: 2.0
Air screw 1 1/4 turn out

And be careful with the aftermarket carb kits. They're only good for gaskets and maybe the float valve. DO NOT throw away the original jets and needle. The aftermarket jets are often not accurate enough (even though they look the same) and can give you more headache than you had before you put them in. If you find a genuine Kawasaki KD/KM rebuild kit you're ok.

Make sure the carb cap rubber is fresh with no leaks and that your float height is correct.

thanks for the info kawah1c! i dont know what the service float level is ,but i think around 24mm from bottom of floats to bowl gasket surface!!! thats were i have it!!
still waiting for my manual to get here.
i just seems to run lean with a white-ish plug ,no oil or soot!
i did pre-mix and unhook oil injection! i used opti-2 2 cycle smokeless oil and followed the directions on back of pouch!
it says mix 1.8 oz = 50-ml to one gallon of gasoline or five quarts
i got one u.s gallon of gasoline and mixed 1 pouch in it and for the first few minutes it smoked pretty bad, then it went away. now i have none, i like to see smoke - lets me know i have oil! shouldnt have got smokeless oil duh!
well now that i see it written down is my pre-mix lean? looks very lean (like a 100:1 ratio) thats not enough oil!
ok so now im going to get more gas and do a real 32:1 mix and see if it runs richer and has more black soot on plug!
i think id rather foul out a plug than burn my bike up!

ok i may have found the problem, i see that the rubber around the fuel line is dry and air can get in it! also the carb-cover gasket has a few bad spots to.

so ill seal it up (temp) and see if it runs richer then order a gasket set!
if air is leaking in this my problem right?

If the gas line is leaking, it will leak gas out not air in. The carb cover will not cause it to run lean.

You are right an air leak will cause it to run lean. It has to be an air leak into the crankcase or carb mount. It could be a crank seal, cylinder base gasket, carb mount.

Did you unhook the oil injection or remove it? If you removed it, did you plug the oil holes into the engine?
