I recently did the V & H jet kit, no problems worked very good, but I am curious about one thing, What was the purpose of plugging off the Rubber hose? Its the one about 5/8" diameter, behind the left side air box housing,

trying to understand and learn as much as I can about all these things

Also Have 400 miles now on the V & H straightshots, and I really like them,

thanks
Dave

Maybe the "plug" accomplishes the same thing as a marble... to prevent backfiring on decel.

dhdaniel,
Did you just plug one of the lines. I know that you can plug the two reed valve hoses to prevent backfiring. One is accessible on the right side of the bike behind the fan and the other is behind the rear cylinder accessible from the left side.
