I Have a 04 500r And I need to know if anyone can post a picture of were the idle mixture screw is And how do you go about adjusting them I have heard you have to pull the carbs and drill out the plug first. And How do you go about pulling the carbs out do you have to pull the gas tank and all of that Stuff to get to them. Thanks

as for pulling the carbs, get a manual before attempting this.
WHY ARE YOU WANTING TO PLAY WITH THE MIXTURE SCREWS ??

point me too this mod, i would like to see what else is involved. if you add air your gonna have to add air across the RPM range. do they have you playing with the main jets/needles also ? :?:

Drain your carbs 1st.

To get the carbs pulled, remove the airbox and tank and you should be able to get at the carbs fairly easy. Loosen up the hose clamps and work the rubber hose off the carbs leaving the rubber hoses attached to the'll have to disconnect the choke and throttle cable along with all the vacuum and fuels hoses attached.
