Looking for a set of case savers or crash bars for my 1983 Kawasaki KZ 1100 LTD (shaft) to complete my restoration.
Love the website, so much info!
Thanks,
Tom

Aftermarket parts for a 40 y/o machine? Good luck! I think you should be visiting a custom fabrication shop.

I agree with the above. If you get a set made, think about a design that will slide without catching anything. I've worked at various bike shopes, and some of the small ones, very strong, ended up bending the frame. It would have cheaper to replace the handlebars,a case cover, and a signal light or two. The big ones are just plain hideous. I know some people like to put pegs to put their feet up, but I don't sit comfortably like that. Good luck, it's hard finding accessories for older bikes, but they do pop up in the strangest places. ;)

I saw 2 pairs on EBAY but I don't know the bike well enough to know if they would fit. It's where I go to to find vintage stuff though. Sometimes it's all you have. There's Craigslist too, that has usually not worked out for me though. :)

Thank you for the reply, It's very helpful for the members to reach out to "new guy". Like many suggested I'm going to a local pre-fab shop that will come and measure exactly the best size to include mounting LED lights to be seen.
Thank you for the reply!

This is a great forum. I have enjoyed it, and in the short time, I find myself checking in many times a day just to read what's going on. The route your are going will give you a very custom and unique set of case savers. I can't wait to see them. :)
