Have any of you done a cat delete on your exhaust system? How much did it change the sound? Was the injection able to compensate for the new characteristics? Seems like an easy HP gain.

we removed the cat on a friends meanstreak. it has a nice low rumble to it and sounds real good when he pulls away. although it is not loud enough to hear it at highway speeds when you're riding it.

also the stock injection will compensate for it.
as far as hp gain, not much.
you have to increase airflow to see alot of hp gain, which also means the more intake of air the less restrictions you need on the exhaust so the bike can inhale and exhaul more efficiently.
so if your looking for hp gains, get an air kit and aftermarket exhaust.
if you want some good sound without alot of money with hardly any hp gains, do the cat removal.
hope this helps.
