I am about to change my chain and sprockets on my 2005 Vulcan 800. I am having problems finding a decent website to buy from. I will of course be going with steel sprockets and an x-ring chain. The few recommendations I have found on the forums have not helped me...Can anyone point me to the right place or give me some tips? Any brands that are recommended. I think I am going to go with either a 17/40 or 18/40 set up. Suggestions?
Last winter I replaced my chain and sprockets, I bought the chain off e-bay. The OEM chain is made by EK chains (530mvo) and are good chains. I bought a EK 530srx (the x-ring replacement) from a dealer on e-bay for 70. I bought my sprockets from sprocket specialists.com, or try DennisKirk.com.
I have always used bikebandit.com. They are reliable and have **** near everything. Plus they have live support to help ya out.
