Kev, can't really say for the mirrors and grips, but use caution if you ever decide to buy brakes - don't get them off ebay. I bought my first set and long story short they caused my calipers to lock up and drag on the disc, gouging my rear pretty significantly.
Got a set of mirrors cheap... I really think the frame was chromed plastic. After a couple of months, I would have to press the glass back in every few rides... never seemed like it would fall out, but wasn't "right".
Replaced them with the cheap version of the Arlen Ness Teardrop. They ARE Arlen Ness, but they are cast, not billet. The chrome is very hard to keep clean, and even after cleaning, doesn't have the lustre that it did new.
