I can see the tube where the coolant level is checked. Should it be checked on the kickstand or the bike sitting upright. Didn't get a owners manual. If low coolant only?

Spookyb4-The owner's manual says to situate the motorcycle so that it is perpendicular to the ground (on its side stand). The coolant level should be between the upper and lower level lines through the transparent hose at the coolant reserve tank.Check the level when the engine is cold(room Temperature).Hope this helps.Vanb.

Wouldn't perpendicular to the ground be when the bike is vertical (i.e. not on the sidestand)?

I know it sounds goofy but the owners manual says on its side stand.Just quoting word for word out of the manual.
