You know, the thing that looks like the air filter cover but its on the other side of the motor. Is it supposed to be loose and wobbly?

I was polishing it yesterday and it seems loose. Also, what is it?

Yes and no , ...It is a coil cover . the ignition coils are behind it and so is the fueltank disconect . It mounts with three posts that push into rubber gromets so it isn't hard mounted but there is a screw that hold it on at the top front edge .

You have broken posts under it and there seems to be no way humanly possible to make them strong like the OEM cover.

Either that or the grommets pushed out. It seems pretty easy to do and annoys me.

Thunder Mfg makes a chromed replacement for it if it's beyond repair.

This was on my old 900.

That is supper slick Belrix did you have any issues with the coils heating up . It seems like it tucks in alot more than stock .

Not that I ever noticed. It's a huge chunk of metal and the coils attach to the back. It oughta work as an effective heat sink.
