I have a 2002 Vulcan Classic FI. I washed it Saturday night and since then, it hasn't run right. It spits, sputters, backfires, and shoots flames. When I accelerate, it barely moves. Or if I start out running ok, all of a sudden it almost dies. My fuel injection light came on for about 10 seconds and then went off. I checked the spark plugs (which seemed ok) and everything else that I can think of. Any suggestions?

hmmmmm you covered the one problem i could think of (water around teh plug boots) maybe pull the boots again and put some dialectic grease in them, also make sure the boots are screwed on tight. are the coil wires still tight on the coils ? (maybe ya bumped one while washing around the bottom of the tank) other than that all i can think of is you got a connection wet and will have to wiat till its dry. i washed my katana one day and had to get my truck to pick up the bike cause it wouldnt start.
good luck and let us know what happens.
