I own a 90 Ex500 and it came with the cobra F1 exhaust on it. I noticed when I am riding and let off the throttle the exhaust backfires. I am just wondering if this is common, or if something is wrong? :?:
Someone changed the canister and probably didn't adjust the jetting for you. Just for a quick check adjust your choke so that you have very little of it on then ride around a little and see if ther is no longer the backfiring. If it solves it then you know htat you are running a little to lean and it is backfiring because of it. Rejet or try to adjust what you have...PM Freakinout about it...he's one of the GURU's on the 500R.
