What is his physical condition? I'm 75 and I ride. I also exercise.

Let him do whatever he wants, just be there to remind him to be careful. Life is too short to wake up with regrets, so let him be happy

I'm 67 next week. My third bike (not a replacement of either of my other bikes -- another one) is coming Friday.

Shut yer yap, pup.;):D

Up until he began showing signs of dementia at age 87, my dad worked cattle single-handed seven days a week. Worried the heck out of me and Mom, but he loved it and if we'd stopped him, it would have broken his heart.

My wife would rather I ride a bike than sit in front of the tv doing nothing. She views sitting in front of the tv as the worst thing I could do.

I think one of the worst things you can say to an older person is that they are too old to do something. It should be his decision. My wife is pretty much okay with me riding my motorcycle, or most anything maybe dangerous that I want to do because the way she sees it, the worst thing I could do is sit in my recliner and do nothing.
