Have a 05 Vulcan 1500 FI, has not started the last two mornings, temp about 50 degrees F, got home from work yesterday afternoon temp about 72 degrees F started right up. Help.
Yes I hear the fuel pump run, I let it quit before I start cranking, got home yesterday afternoon and it started again, temp yesterday afternoon 78 degrees.
05? Battery would be a reasonable shot. Mine would do that on my carbed bike before I did a fresh battery and a battery tender 90% of the time, especially when it was cold, under 45 degrees for mine.
As I can remember the FI light was on for the 3-4 seconds and then goes off. I have ordered a battery because I am like you the battery is 4+ years old is time to replace anyway.
