Get the Factory Manual so you put oil back into the chambers that those drain plugs removed! I'm a fan of Valvoline oil. I've used it most of my life, and the engines look so clean inside, so you know the oil is doing it's job. :)

Yamaha shaft drive bikes actually run oil in what they call the "middle gear case". People drain these bikes, and refill only the engine. I have the undeserving pleasure of riding a "new looking" XS1100 Yamahaa, that the owner had serviced. Doing 90 mph on the Saw Mill Pkwy. in New York, the middle gear case seized, which stopped the shaft drive. The tire wore right to the sidewalls. Thankfully I was riding upright when it happened, and was able to get it off the side of the pkwy. A New York State Trooper gave me crap about not being able to move the bike any further. I tried to explain to him the bike was seized. As he kept yammering away, I kept saying "Excuse me", but he wouldn't stop with his diatribe. When he finally did, I told him, "Officer, you car is on fire, it seems your catalytic converter has set off the wild grass". He immediately jumped back into his car, which was pretty smokey, then called for a Tow Truck for me. I still don't know why he was so mad at me. :)
