How about a mileage poll for you cruisers? Just state:

Year: like 2001 (purchased with 0 miles in October, 2002)
Model: like 1500 Classic, Meanie, Nomad whatever
Mileage: like 21,000

Just curious to see how much ya'll are ridin'! Might do a tally if the replies are large enough. Do some statistics, etc.

Hear's mine T-man- Bought it in aug.2002 no miles- model 800A ,as of today 15,680 I think that's pretty good considering SPOK won't turn off the **** faucet west of me so the snow will quit. <BG>

I bought my 2001 Vulcan 800A about a month and a half ago. It had just at 11,000 miles on it when I bought it. It now has a little over 12,000 miles on it. I can't believe I've put 1,000 miles on it in less than two months, but I have. That's just riding to work and around town a bit and weekend rides up to the mountains.

Well woodchuck, you should have 2 days of dry weather coming, It was dry yesterday and sunny today, but alas, tomorrow the wet stuff comes again.

I used to live in Portland, Oregon, spok, and I really miss it. But I do have to say that the weather here in Colorado is much more conducive to riding. We've had a really wonderful fall so far. I've been riding almost every day. Tomorrow it's supposed to be 70 degrees and sunny. Although it can get bitter cold here in the winter and we do get snow (sometimes quite a bit), we also have lots of warm days when I know I'll be able to ride. So when I get missing the beautiful northwest and feeling sad, I'll try to appreciate what I have going here when it comes to riding. :D

2004 Vulcan 800 Classic bought in June , have 3400 miles on it so far. Had a pretty crappy summer weatherwise up here in Maine and did not get to ride nearly as much as I would have liked. It is only in the high 40's and low 50's now during the day, so not much riding left, I would ride more but got to pick up some cold weather gear. such as a windshield, some better leather.

miles

2003 Nomad
bought new May 04, zero miles
as of last night just under 8100 miles

have had a slow summer, hoped to break 10000 before i park it, but most likely won't happen. parking it a little early due to the work i plan on doing on it over the winter. should be in the garage by Thanksgiving. got promoted and have a company vehicle now, so it doesn't even get commuting miles anymore !!! we'll see if i can come close to 9000 before its parked.

Not too shabby considering all the freaking hurricanes and rain we've had. About 250 miles of that was coming back from Jacksonville FL in the pouring rain with semi's passing me doing 70. Handled it like a champ. Man this is one awesome bike.
