I have an 88' zx600r c1 ninja, and just figured I'd post up and see if anyone had a comment or point to make that is CONSTRUCTIVE on this one. I'm fabricating the rear links myself out of high-grade steel and know that THEY wil work, but what about hacking the front fork springs? I realize that I need to maintain the STOCK riding position and angle as to not effect the stability of the bike, but what else to keep in mind? I'm lowering 2.5 to 3 inches. -Colt :)

cuttting the springs is not a good idea. when you cut them you are gonna change every characteristic about it. (spring rate etc) call RACETECH and ask them if they can make/supply you with the right springs.
instead of cutting the spring why dont you just pull the forks up thru the triple clamps ? :?:
