Would a 195/45/17 car tire be too low profile on a meanie? I'm having a really hard time finding a 195/50 or a 195/55... Could a tire be 'too low' and what happens then? (Don't want the 205 so I have to cut into the swing) (Original size: 170/60/17)
I promise I will post it here. When (if) you find a 195/55(60)/17, please please please let me know. I can't find anything less than a 205 in a 17".
Thanks. I got it to that a 195/52 would be best (in theory) but I may have used the calculators in the wrong way... Anyway, either 55 or 60 will do. I'll keep looking....Here is a link: http://www.csgnetwork.com/tireinfo4calc.html Here is another: http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTireMath.dos What you are looking at would increase your speedo error and lower mileage. The 195 /55 is hard to find - but man, it seems to be the best choice - a little bit better for speedo error (and in turn mileage). 195/60 would be even better.
yeah let us know if you find something. I really want to try this out as soon as my rear tire is ready for replacement, but I have absolutely no desire to have to mod the swing arm to accomplish it.I'll keep looking....
